The excitement of a positive pregnancy test starts the planning process for your baby. So when should you contact me to schedule your newborn photos? Ideally you’ll reach out during the beginning of your second trimester. This allows us to plan ahead and ensures an opening on my calendar. Another important reason to reach out during your second trimester is if you are also interested in a maternity session. I recommend choosing a date when you are between 28-34 weeks pregnant. Each month, I take a limited amount of sessions and planning early guarantees a spot and checks one thing off your long to-do list. I put your due date on my calendar and wait until you contact me after giving birth. We then schedule your session, usually within the first 2-3 weeks after your baby is born. They are very sleepy during this time and are easiest to photograph.
In conclusion, the ideal time for when to schedule your newborn photos is during the second trimester of your pregnancy. This ensures ample time for planning, communication, and preparation, resulting in a organized and enjoyable experience!
